Can you tumble dry flannel sheets?
I got a flannel sheet set for my birthday, and I mean to wash them before using. I don’t have an undercover line to hang it to dry, though, and it says you can’t tumble dry. What would happen if I ignored this and tumble dried them just as a one-off? It’s going to rain this week and I need to use them already.

Never heard that you cannot tumble dry flannel sheets, just don’t use a high heat setting, use a low heat setting, I always do. By the way using a dryer helps soften them.
If they are 100% cotton they might shrink.
Try machine washing in cold water and drying in the dryer set on "air dry" or whichever setting doesn’t use heat.
Tumble drying should be fine just be sure to add liquid softener to the rinse and remove as soon as dry or they will wrinkle terribly!
Dry your flannel sheets in the dryer until they are completely dry. Do not use fabric sheets.
