Flannel sheets are great in winter because they are the warmest. As you have already discovered, it is time to change the sheets until next Nov. or Dec. when you can start using the flannel again. For summer, use cotton! If you can afford real Irish linen, that’s better, but the expense… wow! Real silk is likewise fiercely expensive.
Most satin or silky-type sheets are polyester and they get miserably sticky when it is humid, and more so when both hot & humid. Avoid any synthetics.
cotton
yes, cotton
Hi thread count cotton (250 or higher). I live in NC where the humidity is as high as the temp.
Cotton. Preferrably Egyptian cotton. They are SO soft.
I love my 600 thread count cotton sheets. (I live in Florida). They are very inexpensive on Amazon (less than $40 when I bought mine).
Now if I could get my husband to part with the down comforter, I might sleep comfortably at night.
I like Egyptian Cotton.
definately cotton – cotton breaths
100% cotton, avoid synthetic of any kind. Don’t get any that are brushed or fluffy on the surface, you want crisp feeling fabric.
Cotton is best. Use a lower thread count. The higher thread count is design to trap in your body heat, good for winter not good for summer.
cotton,it breathes better
I would recommend cotton sheets with at least a 200 thread count, and higher if your budget can handle it. You’ll love the difference.
